Quinten Foster Shockley

Quinten Foster Shockley, 24, died in a tragic accident on February 13, 2010, in the loving arms of his best friend, Sean McCreary Born in Indianapolis on March 18, 1985, Quinten’s quiet spirit and deep-seated moral values carried him through life with compassion, empathy and acceptance of everyone he met. His warmhearted smile and easy laugh will genuinely be missed. Fondly known as “Quin” or “Q”, he delighted family and friends with his eclectic mix of interests ranging from avid artistic pursuits in guitar playing, drawing and tattooing to his love of travel, camping, Native American culture reading, collecting old artifacts, motorcycles, target shooting, animals and music. Quinten graduated from North Myrtle Beach High School in 2003 and at the time of his passing was employed as a shift manager at Donatos in Avon. Quinten. Quinten is survived by his loving mother, Diana L. Shockley of Little River, South Carolina; blessed to have two fathers, Michael E. Lowery of Whitestown and Charles E. Shockley (deceased); grandparents Robert and Alberta Bennington of Lebanon, Sharon Lowery West of Arizona and Max Lowery of Lebanon; brother, Travis “Gus” M. Lowery of Little River; siblings, Maryanne Black of Indianapolis, Timothy Toole of Lebanon, Dennis Shockley of Palm City, Florida, Brian Shockley of Lebanon, Charla Shockley Miller of Indianapolis, Christopher Shockley of Lebanon as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Quin was preceded in death by his sibling, Michael Q. Shockley.
